Bodie is a Partner at BBA. He grew in up Marshall, Texas. After graduating from The McCallie School, a college preparatory school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he attended the University of North Carolina for one year, during which he received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. After graduating from Annapolis with the Class of 1990, Bodie was commissioned as a Naval Officer and assigned to the USS Boone out of Mayport, Florida. During his three years on board Boone, he deployed to the North Red Sea twice to conduct boarding operations in support of the UN sanctions against Iraq in the aftermath of Operation Desert Storm. In 1994, after his service commitment was up, Bodie moved to Dallas where he now lives with his wife, Laura. They have three sons, Jack, Ben, and Mark. Bodie spent 30 years on the company side of the insurance industry, primarily with Safeco and Chubb. He served on the Board of Trustees at The Covenant School in Dallas from 2009-2019, and he currently serves on the board of Abiding Fathers. Over the last several years, Bodie has written three books. The common thread woven through the first two books was the idea of a “constant conversation” between fathers and their children while the most recent book (Our Constant Conversation) addresses the discussion between salespeople and their customers.
